I'm a I v1 long time owner, also been on fuse beta testing program years ago. I plan to do alot more testing/comparison over the next few days and will report hello! i'll write here since there is no thread for the LT series. I plan to do alot more testing/comparison over the next few days and will report back. I've also heard rumors that Fender is already working on a successor to the mustang series and the GTX is just a temporary stopgap until it is released.? My understanding is that the v3.0 firmware is identical on both the GT and GTX series, but I'm not sure if the GTX has some sort of newer processor that would make it future proof over the GT series. Ultimately I'm wondering if I would be better off returning and picking up a GT40 (I'm a bedroom player). havent had a chance to dig into all of them but many sound really cool lots and lots of new amp models compared to the v2 series. Helps you dial in a tone very quickly compared to my M1 V2 I really like the ability to control via bluetooth, and the tone app is very aesthetically pleasing. The master volume is very jumpy when going from 0 to 1, making it tricky to achieve low volumes. The GTX50 has kind of a boxy type sound to it that I never noticed in my M1 even with 8" speaker. I found this to me most evident on the bassman amp model (which unfortunately is one of my fav's). Unfortunately, they also sound less "in your face", basically like a recording of the real thing. ![]() Compared to the V2, most of amp models definitely sound more refined, the GTX captures the character a bit better than the v2 series. Mine finally arrived today and these are my initial impressions: ![]() ![]() After fuse was discontinued I decided to pull the trigger on the GTX. I've never owned a GT series, but I do own a mustang 1 v2 which I really love for its ability to emulate fender and low gain tones.
